3.000 euros prize, is awarded, annually, to the project with more innovative results in terms of research.

 

Ana Fernandes, researcher at the Centre for Biomedical Research, won the Astrazeneca Innovation Competition Prize, a prize of 3.000 euros, designed by the AstraZeneca Foundation and dedicated to support undergraduate and master innovative results from scientific research projects.

 

The award, attributed during the iMed 9.0 Congress, which took place from October 25th to 29th, in Lisbon, distinguish the work of the researcher in the area of breast cancer and, in particular, the oral presentation “miRNA-mediated cis-regulation in breast cancer susceptibility”, a communication in which Ana Fernandes presented the results of her master’s thesis, developed under the guidance of Ana Teresa Maia and Joana Xavier, both researchers in the Functional Genomics of Cancer Research Group.

The award, distinguish the work of the researcher in the area of breast cancer and, in particular, the oral presentation “miRNA-mediated cis-regulation in breast cancer susceptibility”.
